reading the year of living dangerously, i picture how bundaran hi (present day crossroad where the gigantic, luxurious shopping malls and hotels are) looks like back then. mom said hotel indonesia was the only skyscraper in jakarta in the 60s!

To Kill a Mockingbird & The Year of Living Dangerously

the latter is compulsory for my english course so yeah. but i enjoyed reading it so far. I see it was adapted to a movie directed by Peter Weir, starring Mel Gibson. Mom said the movie was good.

To Kill a Mockingbird is decent, but I haven't got to the climax yet. so we'll see!

I've just finished reading the Kite Runner. It was a great read. Once you read it you just couldn't stop! I watched the movie too, but it's not as good, so you better read the book first.
